I don’t think the demographics matter either way. This museum is not a shrine to Star Wars, and in 100 years will have evolved just like every other museum in Chicago has.
It would take much more than one extra museum to change the car culture mentality. If anything, it probably means the museum won’t be getting as many visitors as it should after the opening.
Yes, let people not familiar with downtown get lost and circle around looking for overpriced parking for the museum when they realize the museum parking is full or non-existent :(

That’s the Museum of Tolerance, which includes some stuff on the Holocaust but as the name suggests deals with the issue of tolerance on a much broader level. I wouldn’t call it a historical museum.
