It’s a nicely designed building and it will be great for Uptown. Nice to see so much development in Uptown and all the added retail and nightlife that has followed it.

Thorek is a cancer for sure but the problem is widespread throughout Uptown. For being one of the communities best served by mass transit, Uptown has made little progress in terms of TOD.

What happened to all the funds the Whitney raised for their uptown expansion that have been sitting around since the early 90’s, now that their uptown plans have been stuck down permanently.

this vote is going to get brigaded by uptown residents but I think lakeview is an easy choice here for anyone being honest. uptown is where you go once you’re priced out of lakeview.

I believe the plan is to eventually have one continuous mega entertainment district from Uptown (Uptown & Riviera Theaters et al.) all the way to Music/Motor Row.

Nominating Uptown. From the absolutely massive Wilson Red Line renovation (which is over half way done), to an explosion of new restaurants and businesses, Uptown is having a banner year.

lived uptown — uws — and fidi. downtown has way more greenspace. HRP/Battery Park are huge and much more accessible than CPark if you live too far east or west uptown . . .

I would say the coming years (2013-2015) are better years for Uptown than the past two years. With the Wilson Red Line and possible Uptown Theatre Reno, those are pretty big deals..
