Metro selling merchandise branded with vintage logo designed by Saul Bass
So Metro is an organization with a $6B annual budget, providing transportation services whose effectiveness depends on the public having easy to understand wayfinding, route maps and time tables, and you don’t think they should have a creative director or art director that is paid in a manner competitive with the private sector? Okay gotcha.
Big reveal: $1.165M for a spacious Brooklyn Heights 2BR
Who in their right mind would buy this with the impending BQE work? Grace Court dead-ends at basically the same elevation as the BQE, and this apartment seems to directly face it.
West Midtown’s first condo tower reports more than 100 sales already
Yep I have the right address. The map shown above doesn’t even show west side provisions, so it’s not exactly close, although I agree there are other solid spots a bit closer. Google maps shows a 15 min walk to WProv, and the walk to WProv from the Atlantic (270 w 17th) it was a 20 min walk. I agree this area is exploding, and is great, my point was this property has a lot of development that needs to happen nearby before it’s ‘walkable’ for the premium that it’s asking. Hopefully this spurs other new construction that is better positioned in the area.
LA wants Waze to stop sending drivers down small side streets

A map is not a business, it’s a map. Your side streets are also right there on paper printed maps. If you have a problem with lots of people driving cars, maybe support policies that lower the number of people driving cars and the number of miles they drive.
