After breaking cover last summer only to go quiet, a 27-story luxury condo proposal slated for the parking lot at 217 N. Jefferson in Chicago’s Fulton River District will not be moving forward after all.
Located roughly 300 feet from the Blue Line, the 105-unit Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) headed to 710 W. Grand will feature 45 parking places and roughly 6,600 square feet of commercial retail space.
Designed by Chicago’s GREC Architects and located at 165 N. Desplaines in the West Loop’s Fulton River District, the project is expected to contain 199 dwelling units, ground level retail, loft-style offices, and 99 parking spaces.
According to a weekly email newsletter from downtown Alderman Brendan Reilly (42nd), proposals for a new River North hotel and a Fulton River District residential high-rise are both scheduled to break cover at separate upcoming meetings next week.
