Mapping the Ten Most Expensive Home Sales of 2015 (So Far)

View as Map

As the real estate market continues to recover from the recession and the frigid winter, there has been an uptick in high end home listings and sales. Some pricey homes are even returning to the market with asking prices that are higher than they were just months ago. And while Chicago has a number of towers that are known for containing some of the city's most expensive residences, single family homes dominate this list—specifically homes in Lincoln Park. These homes are indeed quite pricey, however, Chicago's list of most expensive home sales is lightyears away from the prices homes in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York are fetching. Nevertheless, it certainly does help to paint a portrait of the current high-end housing market in Chicago.
