Mapping Chicago's Most Recognizable Filming Locations

View as Map

Here now are 25 of the most utilized and most recognizable filming locations within the city of Chicago. A complete map of local Hollywood exploits might call upon a thousand random houses, factories, and fire stations. We thought it better to start with places nearly every Chicagoan knows and rattle off the cinematic tie-ins. Many of the 25 locations have recurring roles in multiple films, but we lead off each one with a screenshot from the biggest blockbuster to have shot there. Screenshots and much of the info come from an encyclopedic blog listing local filming locations, an impressive resource for digging deeper into Chicago as movie set. Any glaring absences? Please let us know in the comments for future updating.
