Loft-like three-bedroom in former convent asks $775K

This squeaky clean unit boasts upscale finishes and a large outdoor deck

Redfin

This large loft-like three-bedroom in the heart of Bucktown is not your standard condo. Built in the former Sisters of the Resurrection convent at Cortland and Hermitage, the unit not only has a unique history, but it’s an example of how great architecture can live on once it can no longer serve its original purpose.

The listing photos are squeaky clean—so clean that we had trouble figuring out whether the images were virtually staged or not. Redfin listing agent Steve Meyer did confirm that these are indeed real images of real furniture. Just goes to show how spotless and meticulous this one is.

But there’s a lot to like here. The finishes are very nice and there’s some nice extras too, such as a spacious outdoor deck space. And by spacious, we mean that it’s actually big enough to host guests and entertain back there. Attached garage parking is also included in the price.

This one listed last week asking $775,000 and comes with a reasonable $389 monthly assessment.
