Join us for a conversation about the future of Herman Miller

Curbed Chicago editor Sara Freund will moderate a panel about what lies ahead for the iconic design brand

What does the future hold for a legacy design brand like Herman Miller?

That’s the question that Curbed Chicago editor Sara Freund will explore with Herman Miller archivist Amy Auscherman and designer Leon Ransmeier, co-authors of Herman Miller: A Way of Living. The panel, hosted by HAY Chicago, will take place on Thursday, February 6, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at HAY’s Lincoln Park location.

The conversation will not only touch on Herman Miller’s legacy (long synonymous with midcentury modern style), but also how the furniture company has expanded in partnering with beloved Danish design brand HAY. That partnership is also chronicled in the final chapter of the 600-plus page Herman Miller book (which you can read an excerpt of here).

To attend the panel for free, RSVP now. Space is limited. Drinks will be served, and Herman Miller: A Way of Living will be available for purchase at the event.
