In the heart of Chicago’s booming Fulton Market District, yet another office project is ready to rise. With a foundation permit in hand, crews have begun work on a new 12-story development at 215 N. Peoria Street, just around the corner from the recently completed Hoxton Hotel.

Known as Fulton East, the steel and glass project comes from developers Bob Wislow and Camille Julmy and Chicago architecture firm Lamar Johnson Collaborative. It calls for 5,000 square feet of ground-floor retail topped by 54 parking spaces, 85,000 square feet of office space, and a landscaped rooftop amenity deck.

Developer Shapack Partners originally planned to construct an 11-story office building designed by Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture at the vacant lot at 215 N. Peoria Street. Shapack reportedly sold the undeveloped site along with its adjacent WeWork building at 220 N. Green Street for $43 million, according to The Real Deal.

Fulton East is expected to open in the spring of 2020. The development has yet to announce any tenants. The project joins a number of significant Fulton Market office developments currently under construction including Gr333n, 167 N. Green Street, and the West End on Fulton.

The roof promises to have some pretty sweet views.
