Less than a year after buying a Gold Coast condo for $6.4 million, Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews is listing his unit at No. 9 Walton for $7.25 million. The 31-year-old center hired a professional interior designer to upgrade the four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom space, but never actually moved in, according to Crain’s.

Located on the building’s 29th floor, the 4,420-square-foot residence includes 11-foot ceilings, a large wrap-around heated balcony, and a master suite spa with a rather serious looking infrared sauna. The property is listed by Millie Rosenbloom of Baird & Warner and comes with two valet parking spaces.

No. 9 Walton quickly became Chicago’s “it” building after it opened in 2017. Billionaire hedge fund founder Ken Griffin paid over $58 million for No. 9 Walton’s top four levels plus an estimated $8.9 million more to build out the space. Other notable buyers include Cubs right fielder Jason Heyward and Toew’s Blackhawk teammate Patrick Kane.

If Toews hasn’t occupied the Gold Coast condo, it’s unclear where the Winnipeg native has been residing since 2016, when he sold a single-family home in Lincoln Park for $3.825 million. The NHL star hasn’t been reported buying any other Chicago area properties.

The unit has white oak hardwood floors and 11-foot ceilings throughout.
The kitchen has high-end appliances and polished iceberg quartzite countertops.
The master bedroom has a large seating area.
A bathroom with a freestanding tub.
A custom infrared sauna.
The unit includes its own northwest-facing terrace.
