After nearly 500 days on the market, the nine-bedroom suburban mansion of retired Chicago Bulls player Kirk Hinrich has finally lined up a buyer. The 9,270-square-foot French country-inspired estate in Bannockburn, Illinois, scored a contract late last week, confirmed the Chicago Tribune on Wednesday.
Constructed by the Orren Pickell Building Group in 2005, the property includes an elevator, home theater, and a six-car garage. The almost six-acre parcel boasts a resort-style swimming pool plus a fully stocked fishing pond, according to the listing notes by Coldwell Banker agent Nancy Greenberg.
It’s unclear if the contract to purchase to property will cover the mansion’s asking price of $2.75 million. Hinrich purchased the supersized home in 2007 for $4.4 million and had originally listed it last year, seeking just shy of $4.5 million. The price was reduced multiple times since.
The 37-year-old guard played for the Chicago Bulls from 2003 to 2010 and again from 2012 to 2016. Hinrich and his family relocated to in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, in 2017.
