Bill and Giuliana Rancic want $6.8M for their renovated Gold Coast mansion

The married television personalities purchased the Victorian brownstone in 2013 for $2.125 million

Celebrity couple Bill and Giuliana Rancic are looking to unload their renovated Gold Coast 19th century home. The TV stars listed the 1886 mansion on Tuesday for $6.8 million, reported the Chicago Tribune.

On the surface, the Rancic’s stand to make a healthy profit on the property after paying $2.125 million for the brownstone five years ago. However, it’s clear the homeowners have also invested a considerable amount of money in the home since then.

According to the listing notes from Baird & Warner agent Laura Rubin Dresner, the down-to-the-studs rehab was completed just over 2 years ago. The extent of the work is especially apparent when comparing the current state of the property to photos from 2013.

The 8,000-square-foot residence features five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Highlights include a bright chef’s kitchen, formal dining room, wood-paneled media room, rooftop deck, rear patio with an outdoor fireplace, and a master suite with an attached bathroom open to an enormous dressing room above. The photos also show a smattering of the couple’s “B & G” initials.

The newly-listed property isn’t the first Gold Coast mansion flipped by Bill Rancic. Three years after winning the first season of Donald Trump’s The Apprentice TV show, the Chicago native picked up a three-bedroom greystone for $1.5 million in 2007. It sold two years later for $3.595 million.
