On a tree-lined block in West Town, a neighborhood that’s growing in popularity, is 2004-built home with two fireplaces with tasteful mantels, two outdoor decks, and even a small gated front yard. The five-bedroom, three-and-a-half bathroom home is listed for $900,000.

While that might seem pricey, similar homes in the area list for a little over $1 million. The listing description even says its the only five-bedroom home currently for sale on a full city lot for under a million. However, there are sizable five-bedroom homes at lower price points, some even around $500,000, but those need a bit more TLC than this listing.

The first level here features a white kitchen with an L-shaped quartz bar and well-placed office nook, an elegant wood-burning fireplace in the adjoining living room, a separate formal dining room, and access to an outdoor deck which leads to another lounging area atop the garage.

Upstairs is a spacious master bedroom and bathroom with essentials like a marble steam shower and large jetted tub next to a giant glass block window which lets in a lot of natural light. The lower level of the home has a family room with another fireplace, this one is gas, plus two more bedrooms.

The home is less than a block away from Smith Park and not too far from Humboldt Park either. It’s just a 7 minute walk to the Western Metra station and close to Western and Grand bus lines.
