The suburban Highland Park home of Chicago Bulls royalty Scottie Pippen is back on the market this week with a new, lower asking price.
Now seeking $2.25 million, the 10,000-square-foot mansion is priced just $25,000 above what the six-time NBA championship-winning athlete paid for the home back in 2004, notes Crain’s. Given the various custom upgrades Pippen and his wife Larsa put into the North Shore property, the couple could end up taking a loss.
The Pippens first listed the home in 2016 with a $3.1 million asking price. That number was cut to $2.795 million the following year before returning this spring for $2.495 million. The latest listing comes from agent Melissa Mastros of Compass.
Built in 2003 on a 2.6-acre lot fronting Old Mill Road, the residence includes six bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, an outdoor infinity-edge pool with a slide, and a cavernous indoor b-ball court featuring an oversized graphic of Scottie’s old NBA jersey on the floor.
Although some aspects of the home are starting to show their decade and a half worth of age, the basketball touches will certainly appeal to any 1990s Bulls super fan. If that’s not enough, the nearby estate of a certain former teammate is still up grabs for a whopping $14.8 million.
