Andersonville is one of Chicago’s loveliest communities. It’s got a lot of great amenities that attract and retain renters and buyers for the longterm. Because of its popularity and charm, the pocket neighborhood is one of the priciest on the city’s Far North Side. Compared to other popular North Side areas like Wicker Park or Bucktown, it’s a relative bargain however.
So, how much does it cost to get a brick two-flat or three-flat? There are a couple available at the moment. A brick two-flat that was rehabbed back in 2012 is currently for sale, seeking $675,000, and then there is this nice brick three-flat on Glenwood Avenue. The units have that classic Chicago character to them complete with maple floors, original moldings, and radiator heaters. Records show that it last sold for $650,000 back in February 2002, but it’s returned to the market this week seeking $900,000.
Transit options are plentiful, but this one also features a two-car garage and a parking pad. In addition, there’s also a lovely communal backyard space that appears to be well cared for and well used. It also comes with tenants too, so this one is turn-key operation.
