Located about a mile north of a similar midcentury ranch that hit the market last week, this 1959 modernist home in Suburban Lake Forest is also up for grabs. Designed by Chicago-area architect Leroy Binkley, the passive solar-heated structure features 4700 square feet of living space adorned with distinctive mid-mod details such as large windows, wood panelling, stonework, and an open floor plan.

The listing notes mention that the home is “updated to today's standards” and while that might be true of the refreshed kitchen, other interior spaces—notably the pink bathroom—could benefit from a renovation project or two. The home is situated on a large, fenced-in yard and sports no less than three outdoor terraces. The North Shore property listed earlier this month and is currently asking $850,000.
