Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, a regular column exploring what you can rent for a set dollar amount in different neighborhoods. Is one person's studio another person's townhouse? Let's find out. Today we are looking at three-bedroom apartments at or under $2,000 per month.

5460 S. Hyde Park Boulevard #1S

This Hyde Park apartment is not only massive in scale, but it’s also massively cool. There’s more than enough room for a family here, but there’s also just lots of room to utilize and be creative with. If you’re into gardening, there’s a spacious sunroom in the front of the unity that would be perfect for potted plants. The apartment is listed as 1,700 square feet, which is as large as a single family home. Pets are negotiable but heat is included—which is important considering the size of this place.

1842 N. Humboldt Boulevard #1A

This one is a little tricky because the listing states off the bat that the images may be of another unit in the building. However, if the apartment available looks anything like this one, it’s certainly a nice find. Located on Humboldt Boulevard near the border of Logan Square and Humboldt Park, this spacious three-bedroom sports lots of new finishes. The rooms are large and heat is included here. Also confusing is that in the description, the listing agent mentions that rent is $1,975 but the header for the ad says $1,995.

2837 N. Central Park Avenue #1

Located on Central Park Avenue near the border of Logan Square and Avondale, this three-bedroom apartment has been mostly refinished and is available for a July 1 move-in. The kitchen has been thoroughly overhauled with brand new appliances and overhead lighting while the rest of the apartment retains original door frames, window frames, and vintage moulding. Both dogs and cats are allowed and garage parking is available for an additional monthly fee.
