Construction is still underway at the Midtown Athletic Club on the border of the Bucktown and Lincoln Park neighborhoods. The fitness club is prepping for the debut of its new $75 million expansion which will see a slew of new fitness offerings, but also the delivery of new 55-room hotel. Evanston’s DMAC Architecture was tapped to oversee the design and implementation of Midtown’s expansion.
Beyond the usual gym equipment and swimming pool, the new Midtown will feature other offerings such as new yoga studios, a cycling studio, golf simulators, and a new basketball court. And for folks looking to crash at the hotel for evening, expect to spend somewhere in the neighborhood of $200 per night. The new 575,000-square-foot Midtown Athletic Club and hotel will open July 15, but in the meanwhile, here’s a detailed look at what members can expect.
