After hitting the market in September seeking a staggering $12.7 million, a spacious and fully customized penthouse unit on the 87th floor of Chicago’s Trump Tower has returned with a lower price. Featuring high-quality upgrades and built-ins too numerous to list, the four-bedroom is anything but “builder spec.”

Fancy renovations aside, the biggest reason behind the home’s high asking price is its equally stratospheric wrap-around views of Lake Michigan and virtually the entire Chicago metropolitan region through tall, floor-to-ceiling windows. A potential buyer even has a place to park his or her fleet of luxury sports cars thanks to no less than five garage spots also bundled with the property.

Unit 87A re-listed yesterday and is now seeking $12.5 million—or $1,824 per square foot. The recent $200,000 reduction amounts to less than a two percent change in price and drops the home from Chicago’s fourth most expensive listing down to a three-way tie for fifth place. Monthly HOA fees will run an additional $8,751 per month.
