A spacious new construction mansion in Bucktown is back on the market. The 7,000-square-foot six-bedroom, six and a half bathroom home made headlines a few years ago when it sold for $3.1 million, the second highest price paid for a home in the neighborhood at the time. A couple of other homes in the neighborhood have since sold at prices above the $3.5 million mark, however this mansion on Wolcott returns seeking $4.2 million.

The mansion sports high-end finishes and plenty of luxury extras. In a profile from Chicago magazine, the home’s developer flaunted the appliances and fixtures used, suggesting that the 60-inch range alone cost $17,000. And beyond the materials and upscale finishes, there are other amenities such as a massive 1,500-bottle wine cellar, four-car garage, and an outdoor kitchen adding to the price of the home.
If by chance the sellers are able to get their asking price, the home would tie the sale price of a 7,600-square-foot mansion by Environs Development which currently holds the record for the priciest home in Bucktown.
