Curbed Cup Finals! (1) Woodlawn vs. (3) South Loop

The final matchup features two South Side neighborhoods

We’ve come to the end of the road, folks. Chicago’s Curbed Cup 2017 has reached the last and final match. The two neighborhoods that will battle it out are Woodlawn and the South Loop.

Earlier this week we said goodbye to Logan Square as they were taken out by last year’s winner Woodlawn. Readers have rallied behind Woodlawn which has remained in the spotlight as the future home of the Obama Presidential Center. Even Logan Square’s ability to top best neighborhood lists and its growing number of award-winning restaurants wasn’t enough to propel it further.

On the other side of the bracket, heavyweight West Loop was knocked out by the former two-time champion Uptown. But, ultimately in the Final Four, it was the South Loop that prevailed. It’s apparent voters took notice of the skyscrapers sprouting up in the South Side neighborhood as well as the massive The 78 development.

So, here is how the Curbed Cup bracket stands:

The decision is up to you: Will the South Loop or Woodlawn get to take home the Curbed Cup? Which South Side neighborhood shall reign supreme? Go ahead and vote below—the polls will be open until January 2.
