After breaking ground in the summer of 2016, the curvy 535-foot apartment tower under construction at 465 North Park has completed its final floor. While workers still need to put the finishing touches on the skyscraper’s crown—which sort of resembles a metallic chef’s hat—the building’s elevator core will rise no higher. Compared to where construction was in August, this one has really shot up fast.
Designed by Pappageorge Haymes Partners and developed by Jupiter Realty, the 48-story skyscraper replaced a vacant lot between Streeterville’s Embassy Suites and Loews Hotel. The mixed-use high-rise will deliver 444 new rental units, retail space, and amenities including a 5th floor outdoor pool deck as well as a communal "Sky Deck" on its 37th level.
The 465 North Park apartments will open next year with monthly rents for an 800-square-foot unit expected to start in the $2800 range. In the meantime, renderings of the building’s interior can be viewed on 465 North Park’s recently-launched official website.
