The architects at Moss Design are transforming a shuttered storefront into new retail and office space

An old liquor store on Diversey Avenue on the border of Logan Square and Avondale is currently in the process of being renovated into new office and retail space. Moss Design, a local architecture firm, is serving as the architect, contractor, and developer of the project and plans to relocate their office to the building when it is completed. The project, dubbed Logan Certified, will feature two ground level retail spaces, two office suites, and two residential units. A rooftop deck space as well as a small courtyard space will also be added as amenities for the office and residential tenants.

Moss Design, which is also working on the new Dill Pickle Co-op space on Milwaukee Avenue, has already started construction on the project. The new mixed-use space represents the first time that the local design outfit has served as the architect, general contractor, and developer on a project.
