50,000 people are expected to attend the protest on Saturday

In anticipation for the thousands of protestors that are expected to descend upon downtown Chicago this weekend for the Women’s March on Chicago, the CTA will be providing additional service along multiple rail lines on Saturday, January 21. As of this afternoon, organizers are expecting 50,000 people to attend the protest—one of many related events that are happening throughout the country—in Chicago.

Starting at 5 a.m. this coming Saturday, the CTA will be running longer trains with additional cars along the Blue, Brown, Green, and Orange lines. The additional service will continue until 3 p.m. on Saturday. Participants will gather at Grant Park starting at 10 a.m. and then will march west along Jackson Boulevard to arrive at the Federal Center by 11:30 a.m.
