President Barack Obama is back in town this evening to deliver his farewell address as acting United States President, and thousands are expected to attend the event at McCormick Place. The speech begins at 8 p.m. CST, but starting at 4 p.m., the CTA will be providing additional busses on the #3 King Drive route. In addition, the CTA will be running longer trains along the Green Line, the line that services McCormick Place, between 6 p.m. and 1 a.m. Despite the additional service for this evening, the CTA suggests that travelers prepare for crowds and purchase fare cards in advance of this evening’s speech.
