A small, somewhat underused plaza atop a parking garage in the shadow of Trump Tower is getting ready to bite the dust to clear way of a new 17-story condo project from Belgravia group and bKL Architecture. A recently issued demolition permit means the tower — called Renelle on the River — is now that much closer to climbing skyward (despite objections from some immediate neighbors). Though the building is modestly proportioned compared to other nearby skyscrapers, Renelle’s individual condos will be big on space. The luxury project will offer just 45 dwelling units starting at $1,660,000 to fetching as much as $3 million for a rooftop penthouse unit.
