Check out two tiny houses in downtown Chicago ahead of their cross-country tour

The mini-homes will be open today and tomorrow before hitting the road later this week

Starting today, Chicagoans are invited to experience the mico-living craze firsthand as a pair of tiny houses stop in the Windy City and prepare to embark on a cross country tour. After departing Chicago later this week, the duo will make stops in Tennessee, Texas, and Arizona. Known affectionately as Finn and Rose, the pair were built by Tumbleweed Tiny House Company and were commissioned by Thousand Trails campgrounds and Encore RV Resorts.

Flanked by some of the nation’s tallest skyscrapers, Finn and Rose are on display at 2 N. Riverside Plaza, located between Washington and Madison on the west side of the Chicago River’s south branch. The 258- and 218-square-foot abodes will be open for the public the tour today from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM and again tomorrow, Wednesday, August 10th from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
