A newly issued permit will allow the start of vertical construction on a West Loop develoment

A slew of new condos are on their way to the booming West Loop area. The permit that allowed for the construction of the foundation for the Residences on Racine development was issued at the end of June, but now the project’s developers have the go-ahead to start erecting the six-story building that will fill the hole. In total, the development will deliver 20 new condo units along with 20 parking spaces to the popular neighborhood. The permit estimates the cost of construction to be in the ballpark of $5.6 million. A handful of listings for units in the building are currently pending sale with prices ranging from around $565,000 up to $887,000.
