A Closer Look at the Upcoming ‘1400 Hyde Park’ Condominium Project

Units in the new development will cost between $395,000 and $960,000

Hoping to buck the rental trend and take advantage of Chicago’s recovering condo market, Ranquist Development and Campbell Coyle Real Estate are moving forward with a new four-story, 19-unit condominium building to replace a parking lot bordering the Hyde Park and Kenwood neighborhoods on the city’s south side. While the proposed development slated for 1400 E. Hyde Park Boulevard was first announced last month, recent interior renderings provide an early glimpse of what the buyers can expect inside.

According its website, 1400 Hyde Park hopes to distinguish itself through its open floor plans, large windows, upscale finishes, landscaped rooftop deck, and convenient location. Designed by Northworks Architects + Planners, the building will provide two-, three- and four-bedroom units asking between $395,000 and $960,000. Each unit includes a single indoor parking stall with additional outdoor spaces available for purchase for an extra $15,900. The project is slated to begin construction later this summer with resident move-in targeted for late 2017.
