Architecture Meets Horticulture at This Weekend’s Annual Dearborn Garden Walk

The popular north side event returns Sunday for its 58th year

This Sunday, the North Dearborn Association will host its 58th Annual Dearborn Garden Walk in Chicago’s Gold Coast, Old Town, and Near North neighborhoods. The popular, nationally-recognized event takes place from noon until 5:00 p.m. and includes access to 20 of the area’s most distinctive private gardens, patios, and terraces.

A number of sites will showcase vignettes by local Chicago designers and decorators and several gardens will feature live musical performances. The event also includes admission to gardening seminars and a guided sidewalk architectural walking tour of historic Dearborn Parkway departing at 1:30, 3:30, and 5:00 p.m.

Advanced tickets purchased before noon on Saturday cost $30 each and be redeemed along with an event map at Latin Middle School located at 45 W. North Blvd. Tickets purchased after the early bird cut-off will run $35. All proceeds from the Dearborn Garden Walk will go towards continued neighborhood upkeep and preservation.
