The Evanston House from Sixteen Candles is for Sale

This suburban house can be yours for $1.49 million

Yet another North Shore home made famous by John Hughes has hit the market. The house at 3022 Payne Street in Evanston played a starring role in the hit 1984 coming of age film Sixteen Candles where it was the home of Samantha Baker, a character played by ‘80s pop culture icon Molly Ringwald. The home, built in a the traditional Colonial style—which is not uncommon for the North Shore—has received numerous updates and even an expansion since it made its first appearance on the big screen. And while it has been updated, it still has a very traditional feel. This one can be yours for $1.499 million.
