Rare Barrington Area Home Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright Sells for $795K

The home was under contract within three days of listing

A rare Barrington Hill home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright has sold for $795,000. The 2,550-square-foot home, which is built into bluff on a sprawling ten acre property, was built in 1958, which makes the house of Wright's very last as the architect passed away the next year. Known as the Louis B. Frederick House, the home has received little—if any—updating or major changes over the decades. The house listed on May 16, and three days later it was under contract. The sale closed yesterday, with the house selling for the original asking price.
