Lincoln Park Co-op Overhauled by Nate Berkus and Anne Coyle Fetches $4.9M

The sale has become the priciest of 2016 so far

What's in a name? If the names happen to be Nate Berkus and Anne Coyle, well then it's a lot. A 6,500-square-foot co-op on Fullerton Parkway in Lincoln Park that had been completely overhauled by the two sold last week for $4.9 million. The sale price for the ninth floor unit in the Beaux Arts 399 West Fullerton is quite substantial for Chicago, making this unit the most expensive sale of 2016 thus far.

The unit features interiors that are playful yet chic. The design capitalizes on some current trends (like mix-and-match chairs), but has a contemporary yet classic feel to it. According to Crain's Chicago Business, the unit belonged to Ellen Rakieten, a longtime producer on Oprah Winfrey's daytime talk show.

And as is typical with co-ops, this one comes with a steep monthly assessment. The unit's new owner will be shelling out $8,207 per month just to live in the space.
