Palatial Pabst Mansion Takes Another Big Price Cut

New, 1 comment

The price has been reduced by $1 million since it returned to the market last summer

Prices for budget beer may have stayed mostly consistent over the last several years, but this sprawling two-acre estate designed by William Pereira has fluctuated quite a bit on its ask. The 14,000-square-foot mansion built for former Pabst Blue Ribbon boss Harris Perlstein has returned to the market once again, and this time it enters the market with an asking price of $4.95 million.

In 2007, when the house first entered the market, it was seeking nearly $11 million. It did eventually sell for $5.2 million during the recession years, but then returned once again in February 2013 seeking $6.95 million. In August 2014, the home found a new owner, selling for $4.8 million. However, just months later, the mansion would return the market once again, this time asking $6.295 million. Since last summer, the home has taken a number of price chops and the ask is now back below the $5 million mark.
