HPA-Designed Condo Project at 351 W Huron Prepares to Break Ground

The new seven story structure will contain just six luxury units

Northbrook-based Regency Development Group has received a building permit to begin construction on a seven-floor condo development slated for 351 W Huron. The new brick and steel structure was penned by Chicago’s Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture (HPA) and will include six units, eleven parking spaces, and no retail component. Located in the relatively quiet northwest corner of River North, the development site is just west of the Green Door Tavern on Orleans. The property has remained unoccupied since a single-story building was vacated and demolished in 2012.

Given a lot size of 7,500 square feet and the new structure’s extremely low unit count, condos in 351 W Huron are expected to be very large and to sell in the multi-million dollar price range. With this project joining the ranks of other nearby luxury condo developments such as 300 W Huron, 400 W Huron, and The Ronsley, it may be only a matter of time before the large parking lot at 357-369 W Huron is replaced by something new, tall, and undoubtedly very expensive.
