Dozens of new single family homes are being built in Irving Park

With the prices of single family homes throughout the North Side climbing out of reach for many, there are two big developments underway in the Irving Park area that are delivering brand new single family homes in the $500,000 to $600,000 range. Ranquist Development's Basecamp SFH project in Irving Park will feature 48 single family homes next to the Grayland Metra station along Milwaukee Avenue. At the moment, a handful of listings for homes in the development are up, ranging from $519,900 to $599,900. All of the new single family homes, designed by Pappageorge Haymes Partners, will feature a private yard and detached garage.

Meanwhile, just to the southwest, developer Noah Properties is constructing a dozen new single family homes that are priced in a similar range. The homes feature brick exteriors with large windows, and also include private yards and two-car garages. According to the listings, 60% of the homes in the development are sold out. A four bedroom, three and a half bathroom home on Patterson Avenue is going for $529,900, while the same size home located on Addison Avenue is asking $549,900.
