Roscoe Village Two-Flat Next to Brown Line Seeks $425K

It's zoned as a single family home, and could become one

This frame two-flat in Roscoe Village is a little odd, but certainly has potential. It's currently zoned as a single family home, but is being used as a rental property. So, for a handy family looking for a big project, this one could become a single family property with some work. However, for those looking for an investment property, or looking to become a live-in landlord, this old two-flat is pretty much ready to go.

There are some easy fixes to polish this one up a bit. The finishes are certainly rental grade, and the carpet and linoleum floors could go. Who knows, maybe there are nice maple or pine floors underneath. However, despite its flaws, the location is pretty superb. It's literally just steps from the Paulina Brown Line station. It's also just taken a $25,000 price cut and is now seeking $425,000.
