Wrigleyville’s massive Addison & Clark development (previously called Addison Park on Clark) is back on track after experiencing a brief delay earlier this month when M&R Development and Bucksbaum Retail Properties had no choice but to await the settlement of foreclosure suits involving two existing buildings along Clark Street. With the legal issue resolved and construction financing lined up, the development team can acquire the property from Schultz's Preferred Equities and begin demolition in short order.
The mixed-use project, penned by SCB Architects, has been in the works since 2007. When complete, it will deliver 148 luxury apartment units, 405 indoor parking stalls, and roughly 150,000 square feet of retail just steps from Wrigley Field. In addition to ground level restaurant space, the plan also includes a multi-screen cinema and health club.
