$13.5M Lake Shore Drive Co-Op Becomes Chicago's 5th Priciest Listing

New, 2 comments

If you're seeking a new home that oozes old money and offers sweeping views of Lake Michigan, this two-level co-op on Lake Shore Drive may be exactly what you're looking for. And at $13.5 million, the listing has become the city's fifth most expensive on the market at the moment. But this stately residence has some history behind it. According to Crain's residential real estate reporter Dennis Rodkin, the two-level unit had previously been owned by the Wrigley family for two generations. The current owners purchased the spacious residence back in the early '80s and have completely remodeled the unit since. You won't find any off-the-shelf finishes here, according to Rodkin, this one features finishes that were salvaged from old French homes. There are currently a handful of listings with greater asks than this one, but all five are located in the greater Near North Side.
