Crews wasting no time on West Loop demolition

The stretch of buildings at 725-731 W. Randolph Street are being razed

Jack Martin

Just days after obtaining demolition permits to raze a row of older buildings on Randolph, crews have already made a noticeable impact on the stretch of the popular Restaurant Row. The buildings, located at 725-731 W. Randolph Street, are being demolished to make way for a new 369-foot tower project from developer Related Midwest. A Curbed reader snapped this photo last Friday showing the demolition in progress. Once cleared, the Equinox fitness-branded hotel/residential high-rise with mix of 145 hotel rooms and 20 high-end condos will begin to rise.
