Live above the old Hot Doug’s space for $1,700

The three-bedroom apartment above the former Hot Doug’s space is now available to rent

Hot Doug’s—at least as a storefront—is no more, however the famous hot dog stand’s legacy lives on over at Wrigley Field and at the occasional festival or pop-up event. While the long lines stretching around the corner from the California Avenue storefront are no longer a common sight, the location is still well known to restaurant goers throughout the North Side. The storefront is now home to Cafe Tola, a new empanada joint, but the upstairs apartment could become your home base. There’s a three-bedroom apartment upstairs, and it’s currently available for $1,700 per month. It’s got central air and heat and in-unit laundry—and of course a famous location.
