Not sure what to get for the architecture lover in your family this holiday season? The popular LEGO Architecture Skyline series has just unveiled the latest product in the line, which will feature a handful of iconic Chicago buildings in one set. The Chicago Skyline set from LEGO Architecture includes 444 pieces which will recreate the CNA Center, the Willis Tower, the Wrigley Building, the John Hancock Center, the Michigan Avenue Bridge, and even a miniature Cloud Gate when completed. The set will retail for $39.99 and will only be available at three stores—the Chicago Architecture Foundation gift shop, the LEGO Store at Water Tower Place, and the LEGOLAND Discovery Center in suburban Schaumburg—when it launches on December 11th.
Of course, for those looking for a bigger challenge, it is possible to recreate much of downtown Chicago in LEGO form, but expect to use thousands of LEGO bricks and spend hundreds of hours doing so. For those less adventurous, it might be best to just stick to the off-the-shelf skyline set. The Chicago Skyline LEGO Architecture set will hit stores nationwide at the beginning of the new year.
