A new 10-story mixed user for the popular Lincoln Park neighborhood will officially break ground this afternoon. The project, dubbed Elevate, comes from Baker Development Corporation and will deliver 191 apartments, 16,300 square feet of ground level retail space, and parking for 138 vehicles to Lincoln Avenue when it is completed next year. The developer lined up the first construction permits for the project in September so preparations have been underway. However, over the next several months, expect to see construction crews on site at 2518-2549 N. Lincoln Avenue busy erecting the horse shoe-shaped building. Here’s another look at what’s to come:
