To celebrate the sale and subsequent saving of the historic St. Boniface Catholic Church at the corner of Noble and Chestnut, Preservation Chicago, Stas Development, the Chicago Academy of Music, along with Noble Square and East Village residents are hosting a big block party in front of the church this weekend. Starting at noon on Saturday, area residents will convene at the church (905 N. Noble) to share stories, listen to live music, and indulge in the food and beverage offerings from various food truck vendors who will be participating in the event. While the event is not officially connected to the Chicago Architecture Foundation’s Open House Chicago, which also take place this weekend, a quick detour to St. Boniface may be a great way to cap the afternoon.

Admission is free for the event, which will run from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday, October 15.
