509-Unit Wolf Point West Apartment Tower Opening This Month

New, 27 comments

The new year is starting off with the big grand opening of a highly anticipated tower. The 48-story Wolf Point West tower will be officially opening this month, with the first move-ins scheduled for Monday, January 11. Designed by Chicago's bKL Architecture, the tower is one of a trio planned for the Wolf Point site. The tower comes from the collaboration of the AFL-CIO Building Investment Trust, Hines and Magellan Development Group — the latter which is also working on bringing a new Studio Gang-designed supertall tower to the Lakeshore East planned community. The tower's 509 rentals will be made up of a mixed of studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom units (floor plans are here). Expect higher-end finishes, heaps of amenities and higher-end rent rates. While pricey, a studio across the river in the Loop's OneEleven will set one back around a couple hundred dollars more per month. Construction started on the tower just about two years ago, and beginning next week, its units will begin filling with new tenants.
