Suburban Prairie Home By Former Frank Lloyd Wright Draftsman Seeks $689K

New, 1 comment

A lovely Prairie style home and matching coach house in Highland Park has entered the market and the pair can be had for $689,000. Though the current listing only hints that the home was designed by a "noted architect," a previous listing suggests that John Van Bergen was behind the design of this house. Van Bergen was indeed noted for designing houses in the Prairie School throughout the Chicagoland area and the architect launched his career working under the tutelage of none other than Frank Lloyd Wright. There aren't a ton of photos to review, so it's tough to tell exactly what we're looking at, but the listing does say that the coach house was once a garage. The photos that are available do reveal a nicely maintained home with beautiful Prairie architectural details.
