Another very pricey co-op in the Howard Van Doren Shaw-designed 2450 N Lakeview Avenue in Lincoln Park has hit the market with a $6.6 million price tag. The unit occupies the entire fifth floor of the building and as you might imagine, boasts high-end everything. With three bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms spread over 8,000 square feet of space, the co-op is easily as large the single family homes nearby as the listing agent Janet Owen suggests. While this ultra-lux residence is indeed very pricey, the 10th floor unit listed a little over a year ago for $10.75 million. After a price chop, that unit is now asking $8.95 million. While mega McMansions can also ask millions of dollars, these stately co-ops are the virtual opposite. They're still flashy, but not in a nouveau riche way. For instance, after dropping $6.6 million for the space, the building will still ask for $5,453 in monthly assessments.
