Neighborhoods west tend to have larger apartments, with a lot of floor-through units, which are often 2+ bedrooms, and less apartment buildings, which would tend toward smaller units. Neighborhoods like Lincoln Park still have a lot of apartment buildings with 1 BR units and studios, especially closer to the lake.
