Two Bed, Two Bath Timber Loft Against 606 Trail Wants $599K

Here's a really great two bedroom, two bathroom Bucktown timber loft that not only looks and feels like a great timber loft, but it's also located right up against the new 606 trail. It's also a great example of what the Bloomingdale Trail has done to real estate values. While this loft has received some updates, it's pretty safe to safe that the rebounding real estate market, low inventory and the trail are responsible for its big change in price. Back in March 2011, this loft sold for $425,000, and today it has reentered the market with an asking price of $599,000. The ask is definitely a bit ambitious considering that price range can get you a pretty nice timber loft in the West Loop, South Loop or really any other neighborhood just outside of the Loop. However, the location right on the 606 will certainly be appealing to some. The bedrooms are actual real bedrooms as well, and not just partitioned spaces with walls that don't meet the ceiling. Storage and garage parking are also included in the price, which is nice.
