More residential development is on the slate for the quickly-changing Logan Square neighborhood. The area has been the focus of numerous transit-oriented development proposals in recent month, but it's also witnessed a few major single family home and townhouse developments in the last couple of years. According to a new report from Crain's, a developer is eyeing a large parcel in the southeast corner of the neighborhood to build 50 new townhouses. The 2.24 acre property is currently currently occupied by the old Phoenix Fastener factory and warehouse, which features some Art Deco-era architectural detail. The new townhomes would each stand at three stories tall, feature two car garages and some would also include rooftop decks. Currently, developers Noah Properties and Randquist Development are wrapping up work on new single family home and townhouse projects in the area.
